Inground Hot Tubs
Owning a house is every person’s dream. So you work hard and save money to purchase your dream home. Once you
achieve that goal, though, you will still not stop dreaming. Yes, every home owner dreams of enhancing the
appearance of his or her property.
Some like to add a huge garage that can serve as an improvised workshop. Some fancy of a nice spacious patio to
hold barbeque parties. Some aspire to have a beautifully landscaped garden. But for most home owners, the dream
addition to their property would be an inground hot tub.
Inground hot tubs are essentially the same as regular hot tubs. The only difference is that they are sunk into
the ground. Unlike regular tubs, inground ones are not movable and become permanent fixture of the area wherein
they were installed.
What Are the Main Benefits of Having One of These Tubs Installed?
Good for the Health:
Numerous studies have already proven the effectiveness of having nice warm baths. Scientists have documented the
curative effects of occasionally dipping in tubs of hot water, such as, improved blood circulation, relief from
arthritis, reduced stress, and a lot more.
Enhanced Outdoor Look:
Nothing can make your outdoors look more elegant than installing an inground tub. If you have one, your property
will be the envy of officemates and relatives.
Types of Inground Hot Tubs
Concrete:
Durability is one of our main concerns when we buy a product. The same thing applies when we are choosing a
permanent hot tub. A durable material may be costly, but it can actually save you money in the long term. For home
owners who are concerned of longevity of their hot tub, then the best option is to go for the same stuff that
regular pools are made of: concrete, particularly gunite. With proven durability, concrete tubs would surely stand
the elements and last for a long time.
Fiberglass:
Since its invention in 1938 by Russell Games Slayter, fiberglass has become one of the top construction materials.
Made from very tough fine fibers of glass, fiberglass is one of the most durable non-metallic materials known to
man. Fiberglass hot tubs are increasingly becoming popular for home owners who are looking for an affordable
alternative to concrete ones. Arguably, fiberglass hot tubs are much cheaper than concrete ones. However, inground
hot tubs made of fiberglass may not have the same features as the concrete variety. For instance, fiberglass tubs
do not have the standard step-type seats and only have about four jets.
Vinyl:
The cost is one of the top priorities of home owners. Unnecessary spending should be avoided as much as possible.
Would it be logical if you will max out your credit card just to get a concrete or fiberglass hot tub? Of course,
it is not a rational option. Why would you do that when you can settle for an inground one made of vinyl? A proven
material when it comes to durability and resisting the elements, vinyl is a good hot tub material. It will last for
quite some time if you will take proper care of it. However, do not expect that it will last as long as concrete
inground hot tubs will.
